The first step in control assembly replacement requires the negative Battery Cable's detachment. First remove the accessory trim plate and then disconnect the screws on the hvac control head. To access the control head electrical connector you should pull the control panel out from its i/p support bracket and disconnect this connector from the control panel before removing the control panel from the vehicle. Secure the electrical connector to the hvac control head before putting the control head onto the i/p center support bracket with proper screw tightening to 1.9 n.m (17 lb in). After reattaching the negative Battery Cable you must tighten its bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb in) while also installing the i/p accessory trim plate. Finally, program the transmitters.
