How to replace the Air Inlet Blend Door Actuator on 2000 Chevrolet Corvette?

Begin air inlet actuator replacement by removing the ip passenger compartment as well as the instrument panel (IP) lower insulator panel - rh. Remove the vacuum harness connector from the air inlet vacuum actuator before lifting to expose the retaining tab and sliding the actuator toward the vehicle's exterior. For air inlet valve actuator replacement rotate the lever completely forward in a clockwise direction to lengthen the plunger position. Use the opening in the passenger sir bracket to detach the vacuum actuator from its pins then disconnect the plunger rod from the air inlet valve lever before removing the vacuum actuator. To install the vacuum actuator you must first extend the plunger rod by rotating the air inlet valve lever forward into a clockwise position. Put the air inlet vacuum actuator retaining tab above the mating base on the hvac module case during installation. Next, align the actuator slots onto hvac module case mounting pins before checking for plunger rod clearance from the lever and pushing the actuator toward the case to lock the retaining tab into place. Finally, release the air inlet valve lever and connect the vacuum harness connector to the actuator system before reinstalling the ip lower insulator panel - rh and then the ip passenger compartment.
