2001 Chevrolet Venture Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the engine mount on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?
A: Your first step for Engine Mount replacement involves taking off both throttle body air inlet duct and Engine Mount struts. The first step should include supporting the vehicle then separating the engine right side Exhaust Manifold from the three-way catalytic converter pipe. The first step involves removing the right front wheel and tire and proceeding by taking off the right engine splash shield. Use blocks of wood between the jack point and Oil Pan to avoid damage before you remove the Engine Mount lower nuts. A utility stand and block of wood should be used to raise the engine before removing the Engine Mount bracket-to-Oil Pan bolts and Engine Mount and bracket. Remove the bracket-mounted Engine Mount by first taking away its upper nuts then pulling out the bracket. When installing mount the Engine Mount to the Engine Mount bracket before tightening upper nuts to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Lay the Engine Mount bracket alongside the Engine Mount and bolt it to the Oil Pan before fastening its bracket-to-Oil Pan bolts to 58 nm torque (43 ft. Lbs.). Use the utility stand to lower the engine before installing the lower Engine Mount nuts to a torque value of 43 nm (32 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the right engine splash shield together with the right front wheel and tire next follow the installation of the three-way catalytic converter pipe onto the engine right side Exhaust Manifold. To complete this procedure lower the car before reinstalling the Engine Mount struts while also connecting the throttle body air inlet duct.
