How to service and repair the Fuel Level Sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

The fuel level sensor can be serviced by removing the fuel sender assembly and disconnection of the electrical connectors. Move the upper fuel reservoir upwards and take off the fuel level sensor. Record the positions of the wires, and place the sensor and reservoirs in place again making sure all the connections are tight.
