How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on 2005 Chevrolet Astro?

To install a new Vehicle Speed Sensor rise the vehicle and detach both its harness and bolt. Set a drain pan below the vehicle before using J 38417 Speed Sensor Remover to take out the speed sensor and its seal. Fit the new speed sensor into position and place its O-ring seal through the Speed Sensor Remover J 38417 tool. Apply transmission fluid to the O-ring before insertion. Secure the bolt at 11 Nm (97 inch lbs) set-up then add the cable connection before lowering the vehicle and replacing lost fluid.
