Underbody shield package installation requires users to begin by disassembling steering linkage shield mounting bolts followed by the steering linkage shield itself. Start by disconnecting the ckp sensor harness connector then remove the mounting bolt to safely extract the ckp sensor out of its position. Starting with new o-ring installation you should lubricate it with clean engine oil before seating the ckp sensor and tightening the mounting bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reattach the ckp sensor harness connector and reinstall the steering linkage shield making sure the mounting bolts reach 33 n.m (24 lb ft) torque. Lower the vehicle before executing the ckp system variation learn procedure.
