2005 Chevrolet Blazer Seat Belt Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear (utility) seat belt on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: The replacement of rear (utility) seat belts requires starting with rear seat assembly removal followed by removing the lower seat belt anchor plate from the rear seat bolt. First detach the upper seat belt anchor bolt cover after removing the bolt that anchors the upper seat belt anchor plate. You must remove the body side trim panel after which you can guide the seat belt through an opening present in the body side trim panel. The seat belt retractor assembly must be detached from its vehicle position by removing the securing bolt before removal of the retractor assembly. Reinstall the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle and fasten it with the bolt while tightening it to 70 N.m (52 lb ft). Insert the seat belt into the opening of the body side trim panel before putting back the body side trim panel. Begin by placing the upper seat belt anchor plate along with its bolt to the vehicle before tightening the bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft) followed by putting on the upper seat belt anchor bolt cover. The completion of the installation process requires the lower seat belt anchor plate attachment to the rear seat bolt followed by rear seat assembly replacement.
