  A: Begin by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable then taking off the intake manifold cover before you start the Ignition Control Module (ICM) replacement process. The icm wiring harness electrical connector requires bolt loosening before detachments proceed between the icm and connector. When replacing the icm first disconnect the rear Spark Plug Wires from the ignition coils before moving on to disconnecting the front Spark Plug Wires. Start by removing the icm wiring harness ground nut and after that disassemble the ground stud. After loosening the icm bracket nuts you can remove the bracket from its mount points. Set the icm assembly on a clean surface and remove each Ignition Coil bolt followed by the ignition coils from the icm.
