To replace the Knock Sensor at position 2, it is required to bleed the cooling system because hot engine coolant may burn human skin severely and the remaining coolant may also be found in the engine water jacket. After that, take away the transaxle, under the heat shield bolts and shield of the Knock Sensor. Remove the Knock Sensor by disconnecting the engine harness electricity connector and then disconnecting it from the Knock Sensor. For so installation, install the new Knock Sensor with the thread itself because it is factory coated. Don't use thread sealant. Tighten sensor at 18 n.m (13 lb ft). How to connect the engine harness electrical connector to the Knock Sensor while installing the heat shield and bolts, which are attached to it and screwed at a sixty of 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Lastly, reinstall transaxle and refill the cooling system.
