How to replace the trailing arm on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

In order to replace the Trailing Arm, first, lift and support the vehicle, after which remove the tire and wheel. Then, on a manual service brake vehicle, unsnap the automatic level control link-conduit, the brake pipe bracket retaining nuts, and finally pull off the brake pipe bracket from the mounting studs. Lift up the lower Control Arm, the nut, and the bolt of the link to knuckle. Once you pull out the jack, support the frame with an appropriate jack and unbolt the front bolts of the frame to lower the front part of the rear frame. Go ahead and remove the trailing link to frame nut and bolt, followed by removing the trailing link from the car. For the installation process, start by loosely installing the trailing link on to the vehicle next install the trailing link to frame bolt and nut. Lift the frame with an appropriate jack and screw the front bolts to the frame to tighten them to 265 nm (195 ft. Lbs.). Remove the jack and support the lower Control Arm using appropriate jack frame for alignment of the trailing link and knuckle. Fasten the trailing link to knuckle bolt and nut tightly, tightening the trailing link to frame nut to be 150 nm (111 ft. Lbs.) and the trailing link to knuckle mounting bolt to 170 nm (125 ft. Lbs.). Mount the brake pipe bracket back to the mounting studs and apply the retaining nuts, tightening them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Lastly, connect the automatic level control link to the upper Control Arm, reinstall the tire and wheel, and slump the vehicle.
