How to replace the thermostat (LC3) on 2006 Cadillac STS?

One must drain the cooling system first in order to replace the Thermostat (LC3). Next, de-link the air cleaner outlet duct, de-link the Radiator Hose and the heater hose from the Thermostat Housing. Then, remove Thermostat Housing by pulling off bots and Thermostat Housing and the Thermostat from the water housing. Take off the seal ring and remove the Thermostat from the housing. Before leaving the Thermostat in the Thermostat Housing, clean the sealing surfaces of Thermostat Housing and water housing. Put on a new seal onto Thermostat Housing, and then secure Thermostat housing to water housing with Thermostat and with the seal . Put on the Thermostat Housing bolts and scrunch them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reconnect the heater hose and the Radiator Hose to the Thermostat Housing as well as reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct thenaddall together. Finally, fill the cooling system.
