  A: Replacing the rear evaporator tube demands the removal of all refrigerant from the a/c system first and battery and Intake Manifold extraction. Disconnect the front evaporator inlet line by removing its body retaining clip and its refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector and its a/c tube connectors from the evaporator rear line assembly. Use caps or tape to secure open a/c parts from contamination before discarding the o-rings. Remove the o-rings from the a/c compressor while disconnecting it from the evaporator rear line assembly. Cap or tape both ends of the front evaporator line and a/c compressor line for protection. Install the Intake Manifold and the battery. The final step involves evacuating and recharging the a/c system while conducting a leak test on fittings through the use of the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
