How to replace the water pump (LY7) on 2007 Cadillac STS?

Start Water Pump replacement by draining the cooling system then taking off the generator Drive Belt. The Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) maintains Water Pump rotation during bolt removal by pulling back the Water Pump Pulley before taking out all pulley bolts and the Water Pump itself. Take off all Water Pump bolts and the component itself to discard while tossing out the old seal. Thoroughly wash the parts that will join with the Water Pump. Put a new Water Pump seal while installing the Water Pump according to the fastener notice. Put the Water Pump bolts in place and tighten each one to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Replace the Water Pump Pulley after putting its bolts into place under the Water Pump Pulley holding tool (Part 46104), then tighten the bolts to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Place the generator Drive Belt back on its position while adding cooling system fluids.
