How to replace the surge tank outlet coolant pipe (LY7) on 2007 Cadillac STS?

The cooling system needs emptying before starting surge tank outlet hose/pipe (LY7) replacement. Begin by removing the outlet hose from the surge tank with Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185). Next disconnect the bolt that attaches the surge tank outlet hose to the engine. After removing the surge tank outlet hose from the thermostat assembly use Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) to detach the outlet hose from the engine and complete the removal process. Connection of the surge tank outlet hose/pipe to the engine occurs by using Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) and following the described steps. Use a 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque to install the bolt which will fasten the surge tank outlet pipe bracket to the engine. Connect the surge tank outlet hose to the surge tank while filling the cooling system by using Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185).
