2008 Chevrolet HHR Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
A: You should start by removing the Starter to replace a Crankshaft Position Sensor. Start by disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Then unscrew the ckp sensor bolt and remove both the bolt and the sensor. First apply clean engine oil to the o-ring seal before installing the sensor. The installation process requires tight bolt screwing of the ckp sensor to an 89 lb in torque of 10 n.m. Reinstall the Starter after you reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the ckp sensor.
