How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) in the MU3 - Manual Transaxle on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

Start replacing the VSS unit by taking off the driver-side front wheel of the MU3 - Manual Transaxle vehicle. Take off the electrical connector from VSS then unscrew the retainer bolt and retainer piece to remove the VSS. Replace the old O-ring with a new one that you need to grease with transmission fluid prior to installation. Install the VSS retainer and the VSS assembly by following both steps of the Fastener Notice. Rephrase VSS retainer bolt tightening to 9 N.m (80 lb in) while also joining the VSS electrical connector to the VSS before replacing the left front wheel.
