How to replace the Coil Springs on FE1 and FE3 on 2009 Cadillac DTS?

Chassis replacement of the coil spring on fe1 and fe3 models begins with vehicle elevation and stable support. First remove the wheel and tire before using a suitable jack to support the lower Control Arm. Start by detaching the automatic level control linkage from the lower Control Arm then remove shock absorber lower retaining bolts and adjustment link retaining nut. The j 24319-b steering linkage puller lets users carefully lower the lower Control Arm onto the support assembly before they can remove the coil spring. During installation position the new coil spring in the lower Control Arm while making sure the insulator rests inside its proper seating position. Fasteners need attention to stop damage to the vehicle. Bring the lower Control Arm to its original height before tightening the shock absorber lower retaining bolts to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Secure the adjustment link to the Control Arm using the retaining nut then slowly tighten it to a torque specification of 30 nm (22 lb ft) followed by an extra 180-degree turn. Complete the automatic level control link installation to the lower Control Arm before putting back the tire and wheel then lower the vehicle.
