How to Replace the Coil Springs (FE7) on 2009 Cadillac DTS?

To replace the coil spring (FE7), raise first and support the vehicle. Jack up the Control Arm after eliminating the tire and wheel. Pull out the electronic level control air tube (throttle) then unbolt the two bolts holding the shock onto the Control Arm and then pull off the hex nut. Use the j 24319-b steering linkage puller and the j 44255 coil spring compressor to install. Slowly lower the arm of control down onto the support assembly and take out the coil spring. For installation, use coil spring in the compression tool (J 44255 Coil Spring Compressor), check when the insulator is seated well at the Control Arm. Raise the lower Control Arm and tighten the two shock bolts to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Fasten the adjustment link to the Control Arm, tightening it to 30 nm (22 lb-ft) and an extra 180 degrees. Reconnect the electronic level control air tube to the shock, reset the tires and wheels, and balance the wheelnuts at 125 nm (80 lb ft). Lastly, lower the car and check the toe and adjust when needed.
