How to replace the Rear Axle Lower Control Arm (FE7) on 2009 Cadillac DTS?

You need to uninstall the Rear Suspension Support Assembly initially before proceeding with Rear Axle Lower Control Arm (FE7) replacement. Before proceeding, remove the stabilizer link bolt and potentially uninstall the hub and bearing. Position the car on jack stands to access the control arm and first remove all support bracket bolts then the nuts and bolts holding the control arm to the rear suspension support assembly. When installing control arm nuts make sure to do so with the vehicle in a normal trim position using wheel support. Attaching the control arm to the rear suspension support assembly is the initial step while hub and bearing installation takes place only when needed. Use a new stabilizer link bolt alongside nut to mount it at 15 Nm (11 lb ft). Reattach the rear suspension support assembly while installing the support bracket bolts. Adjust vehicle position to reach trim height then use 149 Nm (110 lb ft) torque on the control arm nuts before fully lowering the vehicle.
