How to replace the engine coolant thermostat (LY7) with SFI VIN 7 on 2009 Cadillac STS?

To replace the engine-couplant Thermostat (LY7) on a vehicle with sfi vin 7 start first by draining the cooling system partly through the proper procedure. Do not split the upper and lower intake manifolds. Next, take out the upper Intake Manifold and the lower Intake Manifold. Remove the surge tank hose from Thermostat, and remove the coolant pipe/Thermostat housing bolt and the coolant pipe upper bolt. Remove the coolant inlet pipe from the Thermostat, before the Thermostat bolts. Take out the Thermostat and dispose of the Thermostat seal. For installation position new Thermostat using a new Thermostat seal and then press in and screw the bolts from the Thermostat using a torque of 10 nm (89 lb-in). Refit the coolant pipe with a new seal and fasteners numbers 2 and 7, and then the surge tank hose to Thermostat. Finally reinstalled the upper Intake Manifold with the lower Intake Manifold and filled the cooling system where necessary.
