  A: You can start the Water Pump (LC3) change by emptying the cooling system through the cooling system draining and filling process (GE 47716). Begin by taking off the air filter and continuing with the Water Pump Drive Belt. Next push the Water Pump away from the generator Drive Belt tensioner then unscrew the Water Pump Pulley bolts to disconnect the pulley from the Water Pump. Set a drain pan under the Water Pump area before undoing its bolts. Drain all coolant and take out both the pump and seal to discard the old seal. Thoroughly examine and clean the surfaces on both ends of the Water Pump unit. Put the new Water Pump unit and seal onto the engine steel plate before securely tightening the Water Pump hardware to 10 nm (89 lb in). Place the new Water Pump Pulley correctly before fastening it in place with 12 nm bolts (106 lb in torque). After attaching the generator Drive Belt tensioner you need to install the Water Pump Drive Belt before fitting all parts back into place. Reinstall the air cleaner before filling the cooling system through cooling system draining and filling (GE 47716).
