How to replace the rear brake line (J56) on 2010 Cadillac STS?

The replacement of the rear brake hose j56 starts with lifting and supporting the vehicle. Take off the left tire wheel assembly before you wipe down dirt and debris from the brake hose and pipe connections. Locate and secure the crossover pipe version of the brake hose. Unscrew and seal the brake pipe fitting to avoid fluid leakage and external harm. A flat tool helps you take off the brake hose retainer before extracting the brake hose from its frame bracket. Then take the brake caliper bolt off the brake caliper and close the caliper port to stop fluid loss. Strike the threaded brake hose fitting bolt on a shop towel to take off its gaskets and throw away the 2 copper brake hose gaskets. Unplug the brake caliper inlet port before placing new copper brake hose gaskets. Put the brake hose parts in their proper order followed by installation of the fitting bolt into the brake hose for 34 nm (25 lb ft) torque setting and do not twist or bend the brake hose. Secure the brake hose onto the frame bracket and clip the brake hose retainer onto the brake hose . Push the rubber cap off the crossover pipe end then mount the brake hose fitting to the brake hose and thread it with 18 nm (13 lb ft) torque. End the hydraulic brake bleeding procedure and put on the left tire and wheel component while lowering the vehicle.
