Before removing the ect sensor users need to disconnect the ect sensor electrical connector from vehicles with automatic and manual transaxles. The new sensor should receive proper installation that includes verification of the right part number followed by torque setting at 20 nm (15 lb ft). Both automatic and manual transaxles require connection of the ect sensor electrical connector before repositioning the air cleaner assembly to the engine top.
