How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) in a MU3 - Manual Transmission on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?

Regarding the replacement of Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on a MU3 - Manual transmission, one will have to pull out the left front. Remove the VSS by first disconnecting the VSS electrical connector, subsequently removing the retainer bolt and retainer. Discard the old O-ring. Apply new O-ring with transmission fluid in place and install; then, apply VSS retainer. There should be a measure of caution to avoid fasteners lest the vehicle gets damaged. Mount the VSS retainer bolt and point it at 9 Nm (80 lb in). Finally, reconnect the VSS connector and reinstall the left front wheel.
