Remove rocker arms, pushrods, and pedestals, followed by removing the lower Intake Manifold and gaskets. Then remove the valve guide retainer bolts and valve guide retainer, then you remove valve lifter guides and valve lifters. Clean and inspect the valve lifters and guides prior to submerging the valve lifter in prelube (GM P/N 12345501 or equivalent) and install the valve lifters and guide, respectively. Following that, install the valve guide retainer and fasten it with the valve guide retainer bolts while applying force of 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs). Lastly, reinstall the lower Intake Manifold and its gaskets, as well as the valve rocker arms, pushrods, and pedestals.
