    A: To replace the Rack And Pinion Boot from the vehicle, firstly, remove the outer tie rod using tha keystone clamp pliers (J 22610), and then remove the hex jam nut from the inner tie rod assembly. Secondly, it is important to remove the tie rod end clamp that can be found from the Rack and Pinion Boot followed by use of side cutters to remove the boot clamp that is to be discarded. Afterwards, take away the Rack and Pinion Boot from Rack And Pinion gear assembly. In installing the assembly, put in a new boot clamp to the Rack and Pinion Boot and apply grease to the inner tie rod assembly also to the Rack And Pinion gear assembly before putting in the new Rack and Pinion Boot to the inner tie rod assembly . Make sure that the Rack and Pinion Boot is not twisted or puckered as well as hold a shape; adjust it by hand if need be before inserting it into the gear assembly groove. Crimp the on the Rack and Pinion Boot using the keystone clamp pliers (J 22610) into the boot clamp on the rack. Hold the pliers and press the Rack and Pinion Boot together in order to install the tie rod end clamp and reinstall the hex jam nut to the inner tie rod assembly.
