How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on Cadillac Seville?

First open the rear compartment and take out the back up lamp before replacing the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Unbolt the latch release cable from the lid lock cylinder accessory while removing the fasteners from the lock cylinder end. Take out the rear compartment lid lock cylinder from its position. Attach the lid lock cylinder to the rear compartment door then fasten its parts while tightening both to 9 n.m. Click the latch release cable back to the lid lock cylinder then install the back up lamp. End the process by examining the lock cylinder for good performance before sealing the compartment at the back.
