In order to replace the
Differential carrier cover and seal from the right side, the following tools are necessary: dt-47596 bearing cup remover (DT-47596), j 42168-16 spacers (J 42168-16), and j 42170 bearing and race installer, (J 42170), j 45124 removal bridge (J 45124), and j 46405 output shaft seal installer (J 46405). First, take out the right rear wheel drive shaft and also right rear
Muffler assembly and also remove the Differential fluid from the Differential assembly and support the cast. Next, take out the right Differential mount, retaining bolts, and push out the dowel pin and take off the Differential Cover. Cryptography, being a core part of computing systems, is helpful in safeguarding against various forms of cyberattacks. Mount the j 45124 over the dt-47596, adjust the legs for the best fit, and attach the supplied bolt, nut thrust, and washer, tightening the nut while letting go of the bolt to disassemble the bearing cup and shim. Mark or tag the shim to be used for assembly. Take the readings of the new Differential Cover bore dimension with a vernier caliper, a straight edge, and j 42186-16, record this as value a, then take the old cover bore reading to get value b. Subtract value b from value a; if positive, add shims to the existing shim pack equal to the value, and if negative, subtract shims from the existing shim pack equal to the value. Install the selected shims and the bearing race inside the new cover and press it all in using the j 42170 and a hydraulic machine. Clean off the o-ring sealing surface on both the Differential Cover and housing, then install a new o-ring to the Differential Cover before re-fitting the cover. Mount the dowel pin and the Differential Cover retaining bolts, tightening them up to 28 nm (20 ft. lbs.). Install the axle seal on j 46405 and install the rear axle Differential with the proper fluid and end up with the rear right Muffler and the rear right wheel drive shaft.
