How to Replace the Upper Fan Shroud Without RPO M74 on Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

In order to change the upper Fan Shroud (W/O M74), you should loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps from the Throttle Body and mass airflow sensor, remove the air cleaner outlet duct. When equipped, disconnect the Throttle Body heater hose retainer and the inlet radiator hose retainer from the Fan Shroud. Next, remove the Fan Shroud retainers and bolts and then pull out the upper Fan Shroud. For installation, replace the upper Fan Shroud in place while installing the Fan Shroud bolts and tighten them to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Install back the Fan Shroud retainers, and if available, the inlet radiator hose retainer and the Throttle Body heater hose retainer to Fan Shroud. Next, install the air cleaner outlet duct, tightening the clamp at the Throttle Body (7 Nm or 62 inch lbs), clamp at the mass airflow sensor (same torque specification).
