Chevrolet Uplander Engine Mount Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the engine mount on Chevrolet Uplander?
A: The first step to replace the Engine Mount consists of removing the air cleaner outlet duct. The first step should be removing Engine Mount struts from both left and right sides. Prop the vehicle and eliminate the Catalytic Converter before continuing. The procedure continues by detaching the right front wheel along with its tire before removing the right engine splash shield. First use a block of wood between the Oil Pan and the jack support to protect from damage while removing the Engine Mount to frame nuts. A utility stand and block of wood should support the Oil Pan during engine elevation before you remove both the Engine Mount bracket to Oil Pan bolts and the Engine Mount and bracket from the assembly. Detach the Engine Mount bracket of the Engine Mount. Begin by fitting the Engine Mount onto the bracket before you fasten the Engine Mount bracket to Engine Mount nuts then tighten them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). After securing the Engine Mount to the Oil Pan install the Engine Mount bracket to Oil Pan bolts while tightening them to 58 n.m (43 lb ft). First lower the engine with the utility stand and then fasten the Engine Mount to the frame nuts while tightening them to 47 n.m (35 lb ft). Place back the right engine splash shield together with the right front wheel along with tire and Catalytic Converter before lowering the vehicle. The procedure ends with reinstallation of Engine Mount struts along with the air cleaner outlet duct.
