When replacing the oil cooler inlet line, drain the engine coolant from the cooling system and then lift the vehicle and support it. Remove the knock sensor knock electric connector and filter the engine oil. Next, detach the oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler, then remove oil cooler connector and take off oil cooler inlet hose clamp and oil cooler. Take off the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and oil cooler inlet hose from the Oil Cooler Hose fitting, and if possible the Oil Cooler Hose fitting. For installation: if one removed the Oil Cooler Hose fitting, then it was to be installed, with a tightness of 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.). Next, install the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and the oil cooler inlet hose at the Oil Cooler Hose fitting. Attach the oil cooler inlet hose clamp to the oil cooler while ensuring that the oil cooler seal is in its position and covered with engine oil. Mount the oil cooler connector and tighten it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs) and then connect the oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler. Install the
Oil Filter back, reconnect the knock sensor electrical connector, drop the vehicle, and add engine coolant to the system. Top up with engine oil and look for any leaks on the oil cooler.
