    Q:
How to replace the front side door window regulator on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting to replace the front side door Window Regulator you need to raise the window glass for support. The first step requires removal of trim panel and the water deflector while disconnecting the harness from the electric Window Motor assembly. The window glass must be disconnected from the regulator by first removing the two securing bolts followed by the bolts from the Window Regulator itself. You can remove the door Window Regulator assembly by bringing together its two sides after taking out the motor from the Window Regulator. Put the regulator inside the door structure then set it in place with proper orientation through a light twisting action. Before fastening the bolts tighten the regulator bolt threads with permatex threadlocker (Part Number 24200, GM P/N 12345382) to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Mount the window glass to the regulator after which regular bolts should be installed to hold it in place by applying the same torque measurement. After installation of the water deflectors and trim panels you must lower the window to check its proper functioning.

    Q:
How to service and repair the front door window regulator on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
A repair or service operation on the front door Window Regulator starts by supporting the window glass while you raise it and conclude with taking out the trim panel and the water deflector. First disconnect the electric harness from the motor assembly before removing the two bolts which attach the window glass to the regulator and finally the bolts from the regulator itself. The door Window Regulator assembly becomes detachable when both assembly sides are properly folded. To install the regulator you must fit it inside the door structure by performing a slight twisted attachment. Before securing the regulator bolt use permatex threadlocker (Part Number 24200, GM P/N 12345382) on the bolt threads. Secure the bolts onto the Window Regulator before torquing them to 80 lb in (9 N.m). Secure the window glass to the regulator through an installation of the bolts which must be tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). To complete the repair you should replace the water deflector and trim panel then lower the window while inspecting its operation.
