    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by taking the sending unit off and setting it on a sanitized working area. First disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector from its position on the module connector before removing the retaining clip on the fuel level sensor. Lift the retaining tabs that secure both sides of the reservoir with care without harming the locking tabs since such damage could make the sender dysfunctional. The module must be dissociated from the reservoir by removing wires from around the retaining tabs. The fuel level sensor can be removed from the reservoir by squeezing its retaining tabs. To install the fuel level sensor the user should place it onto the reservoir while the retaining tabs align properly before inserting the module into the reservoir. Lay the fuel level sensor wires through the appropriate hole before fastening the sending unit reservoir retaining tabs on each side of the fuel tank. Set the fuel level sensor retaining clip before connecting the fuel level sensor electrical connector to the module connector and putting in the sending unit.

    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace this fuel gauge sender requires you to remove the sending unit followed by disconnecting the fuel pump electrical connector. You should first disconnect the sending unit electrical connector then remove the fuel gauge sender electrical connector retaining clip. Before removing the fuel gauge sender you must pull out its retaining clip followed by pushing together the locking tangs to remove the sender. Begin by mounting the new fuel gauge sender along with its retaining clip and connect the sending unit electrical connector after which secure the fuel gauge sender electrical connector with its retaining clip. The last step is to reconnect both components: the fuel pump electrical connector alongside the sending unit.

    Q:
How to replace the Fuel Level Sensor assembly on GMC Yukon XL 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before beginning the replacement of the Fuel Level Sensor, start by removing the Fuel Tank while handling it carefully for preserving the joints between the fuel pipes. The Fuel Tank sending unit wrench (J 44402) aids in removing the Fuel Level Sensor retaining ring before you extract the Fuel Level Sensor with its associated seal which needs disposal due to wear. Before adding a new seal to the Fuel Tank, you must clean the Fuel Level Sensor installation surfaces. When installing the Fuel Level Sensor, position the Fuel Pump Strainer horizontally to stop it from preventing the float arm from operating in its full range. Use the same Fuel Tank sending unit wrench (J 44402) to fix the retaining ring followed by tank reinstallation.
