    Q:
How to replace the rear brake line on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting the job you need to raise and prop up the vehicle while taking off its rear wheel and tire assembly. Remove loose particles from both brake hoses and their connection components. Insert a rubber seal at the opening of the brake pipe to block fluid loss and pollutants before separating the hose from the brake pipe. Disconnect the brake hose retainer clip before taking out the brake hose from the bracket. After you remove the brake hose bracket retaining bolt from the brake hose bracket. Remove the rear brake hose banjo bolt from both Wheel Cylinder and brake hose and replace the two copper brake hose gaskets during removal. Put 2 copper brake hose gaskets and the rear brake hose banjo bolt on the brake hose then use the bolt to fasten the Wheel Cylinder with a torque setting of 50 nm (37 ftlbs). Position the rear brake hose bracket retaining bolt through the rear brake hose bracket and fasten it to 25 nm torque setting (18 ft. Lbs.). Click the brake hose bracket and hold it with the retainer clip. Using a wrench, fasten the rear brake pipe to the brake hose with proper torque of 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs.). Bleed the brake hydraulic system then put back the tire and wheel before checking that no part of the suspension touches the brake hose during the test. Replace the hose only when needed.
