In order to replace the front brake pipe you need to remove the battery and the battery tray followed by the air cleaner assembly. Remove brake pipe from the brake modulator assembly and lift the vehicle so as to remove the tire and wheel. Next, unplug brake pipe from brake hose and any bracket that may be required in removing brake pipe. When laying a new brake pipe, it is essential to use double-walled steel brake pipe to avoid failure of the brake system and appropriately locate and secure the replacement pipes with the right fasteners in their original positions. Fabricate a new brake pipe then connect it to the vehicle, loose fitting the brake pipe nut on the brake hose and lowering down the vehicle. Loosely connect brake pipe nut to the brake modulator assembly and tighten both brake pipe nuts to 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs). Reinstall the brake pipe retainers, tire and wheel, battery tray, and battery and air cleaner assembly, in that order. Finally, bleed the brake system to accomplish the process.
