Raise the vehicle properly to begin replacing the rear brake hose. Wipe away any particles and debris from the brake hoses and connections. Pull off the rear brake pipe from the brake hose before you uninstall the brake hose retainer clips and disconnect the brake hose from its bracket. Take out the brake hose from the vehicle by pulling back the rear brake hose retaining bolt. As part of installation duplicate the brake hose to the vehicle and comply with Fastener Notice guidelines from Service Precautions. Be sure to thread the rear brake hose retaining bolt to the rear brake hose securely until it reaches 50 Nm (37 ft.lbs. torque). Secure the brake hose onto the bracket then lock the retainer clip into place on the brake hose. Join and tighten the rear brake pipe to the brake hose using 23 Nm force. Afterward pump the brake fluid and lower the vehicle.
