To put the seat back cover in place, put the foam pad underneath then remove the cardboard before attaching the hook and loop strips that hold the seat back cover in position. Proceed by using the j-clips to secure the seat back cover before adding the seat back plastic cover to the frame only when present. Then reinstall the head restraints followed by replacing the armrest if it had been removed. Reinstall the seat back folding cover at its proper position only if you had to remove it earlier before returning the rear seat back to its normal position in the vehicle.

The procedure for seat cushion trim cover and pad replacement starts underneath the cushion where front nuts need removal before moving on to front seat trim panel extraction. You should detach both the lumbar cable and the lumbar wire harness from power lumbar seats. The front passenger seat frame with its pressure sensor should be disassembled from its electrical connectors when it concerns the Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System. First detach the seat cushion from its rear plastic holders by pulling forwards and after that remove the seat switch bezel along with the lumbar actuator . Release the seat trim cover from the seat cushion frame before pulling away the seat cushion pad from the cushion while moving from side to side. Insert and push backward the cushion onto the plastic holders located at its rear. First install the lumbar cable followed by the lumbar wire harness when power lumbar is present. Then install the pressure sensor to the front passenger seat frame if appropriate. The electrical hookups should be joined allowing the front nuts to be installed onto underside cushion studs followed by tightening lug nuts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft). Complete the installation by putting on the front seat trim panel then re-initialize the Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System.

The service of the rear seat cushion starts by removing the seat cushion trim cover as well as the pad for the 60/40 Split and 50/50 Split configurations. Use the folding mechanism extraction to take out bolts which secure the hinge assembly. The seat cushion frame should be next to remove. Fasten first the lumbar cable then the lumbar wire harness if the vehicle has these components and continue with the electrical connector installation. Place the front studs under the cushion bottom and fasten its two nuts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft) torque. Use the seat belt to thread to the seat cushion followed by the installation of the outboard seat belt anchor nut while tightening it to 53 N.m (39 lb ft). The last installation step involves putting back the seat trim panel.

Besides the belt latch plates one needs a drift punch or equivalent tool to press the belt buckle release hole while pulling the safety belt. Press the seat handle near the back then push the seat forward before lifting it out from the rails mounted on the floor. To install the seat you should place it into your vehicle so the attaching points fit correctly into floor rail slots. The front portion of seat risers needs to enter the floor rail pins while pushing the seat to lock its position. After securing the front part the seat should be rolled backward until it reaches its proper position. The installation of the lap/shoulder belt quick release latch plate requires inserting it into the Seat Belt buckle then pushing the latch plate until it locks within the buckle.

Engage the panel fasteners, then partially install the seat back cover onto the top of the frame, feeding the seat belt and bezel through the tower opening.

Detach the seat back frame from the seat and pull up the trim cover to access the headrest retainers, which should also be removed.

Begin by removing the seat latch cover and all J-clips.
