    Q:
How to replace the rear side door lock actuator on GMC Jimmy? Posted by Customer
    A:
One must start the replacement of the rear side Door Lock Actuator by raising the window to closed position followed by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while following proper battery disconnect procedures. Start by removing the door trim panel together with the water deflector and proceeding to separate the inside door lock rod from the inside door handle rod as well as the outside door handle rod from the lock assembly. First disconnect the power actuator wiring connector when equipped and then detach the fasteners which secure the lock assembly onto the door before extracting the lock assembly. Insert the lock assembly into the door so you can fasten it with tightening fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Install the outside door handle rod followed by the inside door handle rod and inside door lock rod onto the lock assembly. Reconnect the power actuator wiring connector if used then finish the procedure by replacing all components. The procedure ends by putting back the water deflector and door trim panel followed by negative Battery Cable reconnection.
