2003 GMC Sonoma Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear door power door lock actuator on 2003 GMC Sonoma?
A: Start your replacement of the rear door power Door Lock Actuator by taking off door trim panel and water deflector then removing the Door Latch Assembly. There are two screws which fasten the lock actuator to the latch. The latch rubber Bumper must be detached by rotating and lifting the actuator before removing the actuator from its position. Start by applying the rubber Bumper to the latch before checking that the first teeth of the actuator match those on the latch for proper interlocking. To completely engage the rubber Bumper position the actuator toward the latch before setting it at the top of the latch. Secure the actuator to the latch with the provided 2 screws while fastening them with a torque of 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). Complete the door installation by first putting back the latch then the water deflector and finally the door trim panel.
