Begin replacing the tailgate latch by using these sequential steps. Start by opening the tailgate and taking off the tailgate trim panel. The procedure starts with removing the tailgate latch rod from the tailgate latch followed by unbolting the tailgate latch from tailgate installation. When the latch is free from the vehicle you may remove it. Before beginning installation place the new tailgate latch inside the vehicle while paying attention to the Fastener Notice guidelines for service safety procedures. After bolting the tailgate latch to the tailgate you must tighten them to a torque of 10 N.m (88 lb in) before replacing the tailgate latch rod to the tailgate latch and reinstalling the tailgate trim panel.

Return of the rear door power Door Lock Actuator requires beginning the installation by removing door trim panel followed by the water deflector and the Door Latch Assembly. The lock actuator gets secured against the latch through two screws which need removal. Rotate the actuator upward and backward until the rubber Bumper detachment occurs from the latch before taking out the actuator. Begin the installation by connecting the rubber Bumper to the latch and move the actuator next to the rubber Bumper until completion of engagement. The proper functionality of the system depends on correct tooth alignment between the actuator gear and the latch gear starting point. Position the actuator on top of the latch before installing the 2 screws which will secure the actuator to the latch by torquing them to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). Finish by installing the latch onto the door after which you should replace the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.

Begin by taking off the endgate cover and marking the latch location for accurate alignment when installing a new endgate window latch. Unplug electrical connectors before you remove nuts connecting the endgate window latch to support its bracket. Then pull off the latch from the endgate. Place the new endgate window latch based on the earlier alignment marks then install its retaining nuts by torqueing them to 10 N.m (88 lb in). After installation, restore electrical connections where needed and place back the endgate cover.

Attach the rubber bumper to the latch.

Rotate the actuator toward the latch to ensure the rubber bumper is fully engaged.

Remove the water deflector and the door latch assembly.

Align and interlock the first tooth of the gear on the actuator with the first tooth of the gear on the latch.

Attach the rubber bumper to the latch.
