    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the replacement process of the oil level indicator and tube by cleaning the entry point of the engine block with compressed air before removing the oil level indicator from the tube. Take out the oil level indicator from the tube before removing the oil level indicator tube bolt. Better access to the oil level tube requires the vehicle to be lifted up to a sufficient height. The installation starts by removing the oil level indicator tube from the engine block while checking for any damage to the o-ring seal which could be reused. If the o-ring is intact continue by inspecting the seal and removing it from the tube before lowering the vehicle. The o-ring seal requires engine oil lubrication before installing it onto the oil level indicator tube. Put the oil level indicator tube in position behind the Exhaust Manifold before raising the supported vehicle to install it properly into the block with the collar fully against the block surface. Begin by lowering the vehicle and fasten the oil level indicator tube bolt with a torque of 25 nm using an 18 ft. Lbs. Setting followed by installation of the indicator on the tube.

    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by disconnecting the cylinder number 2 Spark Plug together with the associated wire before proceeding with oil level indicator and tube replacement. Begin by removing the oil level indicator from its attachment to the tube while taking off the tube bolt which leads to detachment of the tube from the engine block. Check the condition of the o-ring seal for possible damage; reusable use depends on its complete state. The o-ring seal must be taken out if it needs replacement. The installation of this o-ring requires cleaning engine oil lubrication before putting it on the oil level indicator tube. Position the tube where the Exhaust Manifold ends before raising and supporting the vehicle. Insert the oil level indicator tube into the block while maintaining the collar level with block surface then lower the vehicle. Fasten the oil level indicator tube with its bolt while applying 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque. To complete the installation process position the oil level indicator on the tube before you return cylinder number 2 Spark Plug along with the wire.

    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the oil level indicator with its tube involves removing the A/C line bracket nut followed by detaching the A/C line bracket from the oil level indicator tube stud. First disconnect the oxygen (O2) sensor electrical connector on the oil level indicator bracket followed by removing the oil level indicator tube stud. Remove the indicator from the tube while pulling the tube entirely from inside the engine block. To install replace the oil level indicator tube you must thread the tube into the engine block while applying sealant to the oil level indicator tube stud threads by using the part number specified in Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants. The oil level indicator tube should get its stud installed and should be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Secure the A/C line bracket to the oil level indicator tube through tightening its nut to 7 N.m (6 lb in). To finish the process reconnect the O2 sensor electrical connector while installing the oil level indicator tube into its place.
