How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

Before replacing the air temperature actuator start by taking off the knee bolster bracket and break the connection between the electrical connector and the air temperature actuator. You need to first undo the mounting screws before you extract the air temperature actuator. Position the new air temperature actuator into place where the electric actuator driver slots match the shaft flats and the locating hole matches the HVAC module case alignment pin. Slide the actuator onto the shaft while watching until the driver and HVAC module case mounting holes match their mounting screws. Begin by tightening the installation screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) before connecting the electrical connector to the air temperature actuator and reattaching the knee bolster bracket in its place.
