How to replace the water pump (LH2) on 2005 Cadillac STS?

To remove the Water Pump (LH2), it is necessary to drain the cooling system before removing cooling fan, Water Pump Drive Belt and Drive Belt tensioner. Next remove the Water Pump Pulley bolts and then remove the Water Pump Pulley from the Water Pump. Then remove the Water Pump bolts, with a catch basin to collect leaking coolant, then remove the Water Pump and seal replacing the old seal. Clean the mating surfaces and check the Water Pump. For installation; mount the new Water Pump and seal on to the engine front cover, fit the Water Pump side bolts, tightening the bolts to 10nm (89 inch lbs.). Fit the Water Pump Pulley to the Water Pump and bolt it into place using the pulley bolts, tightening them to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Finally, install the Drive Belt tensioner, Water Pump Drive Belt and cooling fan and charge the cooling system.
