Unplug the abs wire harness from the lower Control Arm before you remove the lower Control Arm to Steering Knuckle nut. The ball joint remover instrument (J 43631) enables removal of the lower Control Arm from the Steering Knuckle. The power steering gear should rise above its operational position before technicians extract the rear lower Control Arm frame retaining bolt. After loosening the power steering gear retaining bolts personnel must lift the gear. First remove the lower Control Arm to cradle nuts and bolts then position the Control Arm at the frame with ball stud elevation to separate it. After returning the abs wire harness to its place you must connect the stabilizer shaft link to the lower Control Arm while tightening the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut to 110 nm (81 ft. Lbs.). To complete the process install the shock module yoke alongside the tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle for front end alignment.
