Before installing a new camshaft intermediate drive shaft it is necessary to remove its sprocket. Wear of the camshaft intermediate drive shaft necessitates its removal but it must remain intact in all other cases. The engine requires the camshaft intermediate drive shaft retaining bolts to be removed before extracting the camshaft intermediate drive shaft. Check the cleanliness of the camshaft intermediate drive shaft and then perform an inspection on it. Place the camshaft intermediate drive shaft to the engine while aligning its bolt holes when ready to install. Fasten the camshaft intermediate drive shaft retaining bolts at 15 N.m (11 lb ft) torque values. Apply the camshaft intermediate drive shaft sprocket to complete the installation procedure.
