How to replace the camshaft intermediate drive shaft on Cadillac DTS?

When replacing the camshaft intermediate drive shaft the maintenance worker must first detach the sprocket of the drive shaft and should only proceed to shaft removal when signs of wear are present. Proceed to remove both the retaining bolts from the camshaft intermediate drive shaft before pulling the shaft away from the engine. The inspection and cleaning process should be performed on the camshaft intermediate drive shaft. You must place the camshaft intermediate drive shaft into the engine position by securing its bolt holes while tightening the retaining bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the camshaft intermediate drive shaft sprocket as the last step of installation.
