The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) help redirect the radiator outlet hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing before extracting the radiator outlet hose from that location. Begin by uninstalling the Thermostat Housing bolts before extracting the Thermostat Housing, Thermostat and gasket from the water pump housing which requires discarding the previous Thermostat Housing gasket. The replacement process starts with installing the new Thermostat Housing gasket into the water pump housing before putting in the Thermostat.
