How to replace the front brake calipers on a 2.0L, MFI, L4, DOHC, Turbo, Aluminum engine on 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt?

The process of replacement of the front brake caliper on a vehicle that has a 2.0l, mfi, l4, dohc, turbo, aluminum engine starts with an inspection of the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir; if in the middle point measured from maximum-full/max clamp and the minimal acceptable level, no amount should be drained, but if it measured above it, bring it to the mid point. Lift and support the vehicle,649riend the tire and wheel assembly,649; follow that. Depress the brake pads into the caliper bores using a Brake Pad spreader, remove the brake hose-fitting bolt and brake hose-fitting gaskets from the brake hose while discarding the latter. Cap the brake hose fitting to avoid leaking and contamination, next brake caliper bolts out and pull the brake caliper off of the bracket. For installation, see to it that threads of the used brake caliper bolts and knuckle mounting holes are cleaned off and of debris, then apply threadlocker found gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to portion of 2/3 of threaded length of brake caliper bolts that be allowed to cure 10 minutes. Mount brake caliper bolts and torque freeze to 130 n.m (96 lb ft) with the installation of new copper brake hose gaskets. Mount the brake hose fitting bolt and new fitting gaskets onto the hose and install assembly onto brake caliper with fitting bolt tightened at 34 n.m (25 lb ft). Bleed the hydraulic brake system by having the brake pedal down to about two-thirds of its travel distance but shut down the engine and then releasing the brake pedal slowly. Wait for 15 seconds and perform the second pedal stroke until a firm pedal is attained for competent seating of brake caliper pistons and pads. Lastly, fit the tire and wheel unit and bring the vehicle down.
