• Q: How to replace the rear disc brake pads on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

  A: Check the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid before replacing the rear disc brake pads. Drain enough fluid when its level sits above midway between maximum and minimum marks. Lift the vehicle and then take off both tire and wheel parts. Two matching wheel nuts should be hand-tigtened onto wheel studs that are opposite each other to fix the rotor to the hub.
