How to replace the sliding Door Latch Assembly on Buick Terraza?

The first step to replace the sliding door latch requires removal of the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel fuse block to prevent both LH and RH power sliding door modules from functioning. Begin with the removal of the sliding door inner trim panel and then proceed to take out the sliding door water deflector. After taking out the latch screws from the sliding door you need to detach the door latch while gently unhooking the rod when the latch becomes loose. After detaching the sliding door latch from its rod you should replace the rod to the latch then put the latch back onto the door. Secure the sliding door latch screws in the proper order while torquing them to 10 N.m (89 lb in) and make sure the rear latch lock rod extends into the latch rod insulator. Put back the sliding door water deflector along with the inner trim panel. The PSD 15A fuse needs to be inserted into the fuse block for power sliding door restoration after both PSD modules learn the full open and closed positions.
