First eliminate the electrical connection and tube from the assembly before completely removing the assembly. First establish electrical connection and tube connection to the assembly before starting installation. Position the foam seal tape across the grille assembly's side openings before putting the inside air temperature assembly into the instrument panel.
- Q: How to Change the Cabin Air Temperature Sensor on a Cadillac Escalade?A: Take off the third pillar molding and the left rear coat hook, if present, in order to remove the Auxiliary Inside Air Temperature Sensor Assembly. Next, remove the rear headliner retainers from the front headliner and quietly slide the headliner down the retaining Velcro of the roof. Pull the electrical connector from the inside air temperature sensor and partially remove the sensor from the headliner. Next, there is the sensor grille to take the auxiliary inside air temperature sensor out altogether. First fix the new sensor grille to headliner and afterwards the in side air temperature sensor to headliner and sensor grille. Reconnect the electrical connector to the inside air temperature sensor then secure the headliner to the roof Velcro, as well, reinstall the rear headliner retainers to the front headliner. If available, reinstall the left rear coat hook and lastly, the third pillar molding.

For installation connect the inside air temperature sensor electric connector, making sure that it is fully seated into the driver information center bezel, and then installing the inside air temperature sensor. Reconnect the driver information center to the I/P, install, the driver information center retaining screw and tighten to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Finally, reinstall the knee bolster.
