How to replace the front brake line on Cadillac DeVille?

Before working on the front brake hose you must lift the vehicle and put supports under it while taking off both the tire and wheel. Clear all contamination from the hose and pipe fittings before putting on a rubber cap or plug over the exposed brake pipe end. Push away the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose using a flat tool to take out the brake hose retainer. Take out both copper brake hose gaskets and discard them due to potential adherence to the caliper or hose end. Place a new rubber stopper into the brake hose bolt opening of the brake caliper to avoid fluid escape. Take off the hose bracket bolt from the strut assembly then pull out the hose. Before installing the brake hose bolt put a new copper brake hose gasket into the bolt hole. Insert the brake hose bolt into the brake caliper with new gaskets and fasten it at 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.) torque while making sure the hose remains straight. Push the brake hose into the bracket holder and fasten it with the retaining mechanism. Install the brake hose end to the brake pipe by putting the rubber cap back and tightening it to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Secure the hose bracket to the strut assembly with its bolt and tighten to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). End the process by letting brake fluid flow out of the caliper bleeder and then install the wheel assembly before lowering the car.
